The notion of introducing an ‘escapade’
for the examinees will not reduce cheating. I believe as a Kenyan a
liberalized examination condition will totally eliminate cheating. I
say this because with a liberalized examination condition examinees
are allowed to refer to their notes while answering questions. To add
on that the teacher who taught them will be allowed to be of help to
them in areas they encounter difficulties and the best part is that
time is not a factor this will ensure that the learning environment
the learners are used will not be tempered with.
The ‘monos’ to form threes are now
out of school, in the name of giving the form fours space to do their
K.C.S.E.exam paper and to curb cheating, really? How does this even curb
cheating? Instead of the school directing their energy on the soon to
be candidates and train them to be intelligent students they are sent
away from school. When they get pregnant, you(administration) claim not to understand
yet you’ve given them time to idol. So instead of them directing
their energy to schools matters they direct it to a non-platonic
relationship.
My point is, the whole ‘escapade’
is not appropriate for an examinee and if it as must for it to there
then this ‘escapade’ should be there even during normal class
sessions. So that during examination the student will be relaxed with
no fear or stress and good results will be produced.
Why should we keep on hurting each
other in the name of ensuring the exam is not leaked. Take the example
of the two policemen who shot each other.
Not forgetting the boy who had a heart attack after he was handed the first paper
Tuition do help allow our children to
be tutored I mean tuition largely helped me.
